Booth D16
Van Doren Waxter's booth will be works on paper and prints by Richard Diebenkorn. This year marks the centennial of the artist's birth as well as the 23rd year that our gallery has represented the Diebenkorn estate and foundation.
This presentation will make evident the crossover of images and ideas that the artist developed in tandem with unique works and prints. Although considered separate, distinct bodies of work, Diebenkorn often worked out compositions that closely relate to one another in palette and imagery. There was a constant exchange without direct replication of his works that were hand drawn with works made mechanically. Viewers will have a rare chance to see these comparisons side by side.
