    Farid Haddad was born in Beirut, Lebanon, 1945. In 1969, he graduated with a BA in Fine Arts from the American University of Beirut. He then earned an MFA from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee. His first solo show was held at the John F. Kennedy American Center in Beirut in 1971. It was followed by exhibitions at Contact Art Gallery in Beirut in 1972, Sultan Gallery in Kuwait City in 1972, and Delta International Art Center, Beirut, in 1973 and 1975. Throughout the late seventies and 1980s he has had solo exhibitions in New York City, Paris, and Rome. In 1972 he was the recipient of a Fulbright-Hays grant, which he used to explore lithography in New York City. He has participated in more than fifty group exhibitions in Europe, the Middle East and North America. His work is held in public collections internationally, including The Nicholas Sursock Museum in Beirut, the American University of Beirut Galleries and Collections, the Saradar Collection, Beirut, and the Ramzi and Saeda Dalloul Art Foundation, Beirut.
