ADAA Fair: Booth D12

Van Doren Waxter’s booth presents a selection of Richard Diebenkorn prints from his iconic Ocean Park series. Diebenkorn worked with Crown Point Press from its founding in 1962 until his death in 1993, producing prints there every year but one. He described printmaking as “a way of drawing,” using etching to test formal ideas and, at times, to determine what was “wrong” with a painting in progress. These works reveal the range of Diebenkorn’s printmaking, from subtle shifts in line and tone to bold explorations of color, space, and form.
